Air Force names combat controller, special tactics officer award winners

The winners of the Air Force's 2005 annual awards for combat controller and special tactics officer were announced today.

The award winners are:

Special Tactics Field Grade Officer of the Year: Maj. Michael Martin, 24th Special Tactics Squadron, Pope Air Force Base, N.C.

Special Tactics Company Grade Officer of the Year: Capt. James Alexander, 21st STS, Pope AFB.

Combat Controller Senior NCO of the Year: Master Sgt. Douglas Fenske, 21st STS, Pope AFB.

Combat Controller NCO of the Year: Tech. Sgt. Bradley Reilly, 23rd STS, Hurlburt Field, Fla.

Combat Controller Airman of the Year: Senior Airman Fred Baker, 21st STS, Pope AFB.

The awards will be presented at the annual combat control reunion Nov. 10 at Hurlburt Field.
