Air Force announces captain selections Published June 20, 2006 RANDOLPH AIR FORCE BASE, Texas (AFPN) -- One hundred and thirty-two first lieutenants have been selected for promotion to captain in the chaplain and judge advocate specialties, as well as the nurse, medical science and biomedical science corps. The calendar year 2006 captain selection process considered 132 officers, making it a 100 percent selection rate. Air Force Chief of Staff Gen T. Michael Moseley redesignated the judge advocate general competitive category as Line of the Air Force-Judge Advocate, effective March 3. That change is reflected below as LAF-J.
