They are: - Unit Level Command Post Airman of the Year: Senior Airman Tina M. Loos, 18th Wing, Kadena Air Base, Japan - Unit Level Command Post Noncommissioned Officer of the Year: Tech. Sgt. Chastity M. Degroat, 701st Munitions Support Squadron, Kleine Brogel AB, Belgium - Unit Level Command Post Senior NCO of the Year: Master Sgt. Therron L. Burns, 374th Air Wing, Yokota AB, Japan - Headquarters Command Post Airman of the Year: Senior Airman Paul Q. Piper, Kenney Headquarters, Pacific Air Operations Center, Hickam AFB, Hawaii, (now assigned to Air Force District of Washington, Bolling Air Force Base, D.C.) - Headquarters Command Post NCO of the Year: Staff Sgt. Casey L. Chang, Kenney Headquarters, Pacific Air Operations Center, Hickam AFB - Headquarters Command Post Senior NCO of the Year: Senior Master Sgt. Jerry N. Bradley, U.S. Southern Command, Miami, Fla. - Command Post Instructor of the Year: Staff Sgt. Adam J. Wurtz, United States Air Forces Europe, Ramstein AB, Germany - Small Unit Command Post of the Year: 36th Air Expeditionary Wing, Andersen AFB, Guam - Large Unit Command Post of the Year: 48th Fighter Wing, Royal Air Force Lakenheath, England A total of eighty-five nominees competed for the nine awards. "The award packages were strong, and the level of competition was tough," said Chief Master Sgt. Benjamin Brewer, Air Force Command Post career field manager and president of the selection board. "All award nominees were of the highest caliber and should be commended for their outstanding accomplishments and achievements." Per AFI 36-2805, Special Trophies and Awards, the individual award recipients will be authorized to wear the Air Force recognition ribbon.
