Luke F-16 crashes Published April 13, 2006 LUKE AIR FORCE BASE, Ariz. (AFPN) -- An Air Force F-16 Fighting Falcon assigned to the 56th Fighter Wing crashed at about 9:51 a.m. today during a routine training mission approximately two miles southwest of the base. The pilot ejected safely and is being treated at a local medical center. A board of officers will investigate the accident.
