AFA selects services career field for annual award Published April 5, 2006 RANDOLPH AIR FORCE BASE, Texas (AFPN) -- The Air Force Association, or AFA, selected the “services” enlisted career field for its 2006 AFA Team of the Year Award. The following Airmen were named to the team: -- Staff Sgt. Heather Schaffer, Cheyenne Air National Guard, Wyo., representing the Air National Guard; -- Senior Airman John Hitchens, Scott Air Force Base, Ill., representing Air Mobility Command; -- Airman 1st Class Nicolas Paulino, Davis-Monthan AFB, Ariz., representing Air Combat Command; -- Airman 1st Class Andrea Quintanilla, Moody AFB, Ga., representing Air Force Special Operations Command; and -- Airman 1st Class Ashley Sakurai, Misawa Air Base, Japan, representing Pacific Air Forces Command. Each year, the AFA selects an enlisted career field for recognition. The selected Airmen were chosen for displaying superior technical expertise, attracting the praise of their superiors and providing leadership and inspiration to their co-workers, according to AFA officials.
