AF selects four Airmen to vie for GEICO awards

The Air Force selected four Airmen to compete for the 2005 Government Employee Insurance Company Military Service awards.

The Airmen are now authorized to wear the Air Force Recognition Ribbon and will compete against the nominees selected by the other military services.

-- Staff Sgt. Lindsay J. Thomas, from McConnell Air Force Base, Kan., will compete in the drug and alcohol abuse prevention category.

-- Tech. Sgt. Shannon T. Anderson will compete in the fire prevention and fire safety category. He is from Moody AFB, Ga.

-- Staff Sgt. Bobby D. Roseman Jr., from Patrick AFB, Fla., will compete in the traffic safety and traffic accident prevention category.

-- Tech. Sgt. Anita L. Garcia, from Lackland AFB, Texas, will compete in the drug and alcohol abuse prevention category for Reservists.

GEICO will honor award winners this spring in a ceremony in Washington, D.C.
