Airmen continue Pakistan relief effort Published Dec. 23, 2005 U.S. Central Command Air Forces Forward Public Affairs SOUTHWEST ASIA (AFPN) -- The Air Force continues to support Pakistan-led earthquake recovery operations by airlifting much-needed supplies into the devastated region. Two Air Force C-130 Hercules and one C-17 Globemaster III delivered 61,000 pounds of water, medical supplies and vehicle parts and supplies in response to requests from Pakistan’s government. To date, the Air Force has airlifted more than 10 million pounds of relief supplies to Pakistan using 51 C-130, 45 C-17s and 52 various contracted aircraft.
