Airmen continue Pakistan relief effort Published Dec. 9, 2005 SOUTHWEST ASIA (AFPN) -- The Air Force continues to support Pakistan-led earthquake recovery operations by airlifting much-needed supplies into the devastated region. Here are the latest figures from U.S. Central Command Air Forces for Dec. 2 through today. Five Air Force C-130 Hercules and one contracted Boeing 747 flew in more than 72,000 pounds of medical supplies and equipment, aircraft parts, construction materials, generators and communications equipment in response to requests from Pakistan’s government. To date, the Air Force has airlifted nearly 10 million pounds of relief supplies on 1,825 pallets to Pakistan using 44 C-130s, 40 C-17 Globemaster IIIs and 52 contracted aircraft.
