CENTAF continues Pakistan relief

U.S. Central Command Air Forces officials released today's Pakistan relief summary.

The Air Force continued to support Pakistani-led earthquake recovery operations -- airlifting much-needed supplies into the devastated region Nov. 25 to Dec. 2.

Three Air Force C-130 Hercules, two C-17 Globemasters and one contracted Boeing 747 aircraft flew in more than 280,000 pounds of medical supplies and equipment, clothing and construction and runway materials in response to requests from Pakistan’s government.

To date, the Air Force has airlifted nearly 10 million pounds of relief supplies on 1,806 pallets to Pakistan using 40 C-17 Globemasters, 39 C-130 Hercules and 51 various contracted aircraft.
