The Defense Cyber Crime Center and Joint Task Force – Global Network Operations will host a cyber crime conference here in January.

The conference -- Attacking Cyber Crime -- the Evolving Professions -- will cover all aspects of computer crime. That includes intrusion investigations, cyber crime law, digital forensics and information assurance, as well as the research, development, testing and evaluation of digital forensic tools.

The conference will feature a unique interactive format.

“Conference attendees will not only learn about new approaches and new perspectives in this arena, but will be able to discuss these critical issues one-on-one with the movers and shakers in our field,” said Special Agent Jim Christy, director of the Defense Cyber Crime Institute.

He said, “Our goal is to prepare law enforcement and DOD information technology personnel for the new types of crimes facing us today and in the near future.”
