ARPC officials announce officer promotions

Air Reserve Personnel Center officials here announced Aug. 18 the 2006 Air Force Reserve officer promotion selection board results that selected 2,218 officers for promotion.

The list of officers selected is available on the ARPC Web site at http://arpc.afrc.af.mil/promotions/officer/default.asp.

The first lieutenant and captain selection process was conducted at ARPC here June 1. A selection board convened June 17 for the Air Force Reserve Line and Nonline Lieutenant Colonel; JAG/Chaplain Major to determine those officers qualified to assume the next higher grade.

Board members reviewed the records of more than 3,200 Air Force Reserve and Guard line and nonline officers.

The results of the fiscal 2006 lieutenant colonel and major boards are:

Selective Reserve selection statistics in-the-promotion zone for lieutenant colonel:

-- 435 line officers were selected from 574 considered for a 76-percent select rate.

-- 16 chaplain officers were selected from 19 considered for an 84-percent select rate.

-- Seven dental corps officers were selected from eight considered for an 88-percent select rate.

-- 18 judge advocate general officers were selected from 28 considered for a 64-percent select rate.

-- 28 medical corps officers were selected from 29 considered for a 97-percent select rate.

-- 24 nurse corps officers were selected from 68 considered for a 35-percent select rate.

-- 12 medical service corps officers were selected from 15 considered for an 80-percent select rate.

-- 10 biomedical sciences corps officers were selected from 18 considered for a 56-percent select rate.

-- 11 line officers were selected from 130 considered for a 9-percent select rate.

-- No chaplain officer was selected from one considered.

-- One dental corps officer was selected from six considered for a 17-percent select rate.

-- One judge advocate general officer was selected from one considered for a 100-percent select rate.

-- Three medical corps officers were selected from 29 considered for a 10-percent select rate.

-- No nurse corps officers were considered.

-- No medical service corps officer was selected from one considered.

-- No biomedical sciences corps officer was selected from one considered.

-- No medical corps officers were selected from two considered.

-- Two nurse corps officers were selected from 37 considered for a 5-percent select rate.

-- Three medical service corps officers were selected from six considered for a 50-percent select rate.

-- Five biomedical sciences corps officers were selected from 14 considered for a 36-percent select rate.

-- Four judge advocate general officers were selected from 23 considered for a 17-percent select rate.
