Officials announce services award winners

Air Force Services Agency officials announced the winners of the 2005 services awards recently.

Kadena Air Base, Japan, won the Gen. Curtis E. LeMay Trophy for best overall services unit at a large base. Spangdahlem AB, Germany, won the Maj. Gen. Eugene L. Eubank Trophy for best services at a small base.

Other individual winners are:

-- Gen. Michael P.C. Carns Award: Diane Campbell from Langley Air Force Base, Va.

-- Lt. Gen. Norm Lezy Award: Lt. Col. Steven Whitney of manpower, education and training at the Pentagon.

-- Dr. Beverly L. Schmalzreid Award: Wiyada Lee of the 39th Services Squadron at Incirlik AB, Turkey.

-- Field Grade Officer: Lt. Col. John Williams of the 96th SVS at Eglin AFB, Fla.

-- Company Grade Officer: Capt. Keithen Washington of the 18th SVS at Kadena.

-- Senior Noncommissioned Officer: Senior Master Sgt. Donald Carney of the 509th SVS at Whiteman AFB, Mo.

-- Noncommissioned Officer: Staff Sgt. Mike Ji of the 51st SVS at Osan AB, South Korea.

-- Airman: Senior Airman Sara Higgins of the 18th SVS.

-- Senior Civilian Manager: Dave Allen of the 374th SVS at Yokota AB, Japan.

-- Civilian Flight Chief: George Jones of the 18th SVS.

-- Civilian Manager: Linda Crom of the 435th SVS at Ramstein AB, Germany.

-- Senior Civilian Specialist: Kimberly Kamano-Manatad of the 15th Mission Support Group at Bellows Air Force Station, Hawaii.

-- Civilian Specialist: Keesha Welch of the 20th SVS at Shaw AFB, S. C.

-- Civilian Technician: Carla Tubby of the 72nd SVS at Tinker AFB, Okla.

-- Air Reserve Component Field Grade Officer: Lt. Col. Cynthia Eagle of U.S. Air Force Europe headquarters at Ramstein.

-- ARC Company Grade Officer: Capt. Gerald Narigon of the 911th SVS at Pittsburgh International Airport Air Reserve Station, Pa.

-- ARC Senior Noncommissioned Officer: Senior Master Sgt. Dennis DiCampli of the 90th SVS at F.E. Warren AFB, Wyo.

-- ARC Noncommissioned Officer: Tech. Sgt. Norman Long of the 911th SVS.
