Charges preferred in Columbus AFB cheating investigation Published July 15, 2005 COLUMBUS AIR FORCE BASE, Miss. (AFPN) -- Court martial charges were preferred here July 13 against Capt. Richard Brimer, of the 41st Flying Training Squadron here, for his role in a cheating incident during the T-37 Tweet phase of specialized undergraduate pilot training. The charges consist of: a violation of Article 92, failure to obey a lawful regulation; a violation of Article 107, making a false official statement; and a violation of Article 133, conduct unbecoming an officer by distributing controlled test answers.The next step is an Article 32 investigation, the military equivalent of a civilian grand jury, which is expected to occur in August.
