June recruiting, retention stats up for Air Force Published July 12, 2005 WASHINGTON (AFPN) -- Recruiting and retention rates were up in June for all services in both the active and reserve components, Defense Department officials announced July 11.The Air Force exceeded its June goal, recruiting more than 2,400 Airmen, defense officials said.In addition, all services met or exceeded their overall active-duty retention goals for June.The Air National Guard reported retention rates that exceeded its June goal -- 110 percent.June statistics for reserve forces attrition are not yet available, but officials said the lower-than-projected losses that occurred in May were expected to continue into June.
