Officials announce Air Guard major, lieutenant colonel promotions

DENVER (AFPN) --  Air Reserve Personnel Center officials here announced June 8 the 2006 Air National Guard Line and Nonline Major and Lieutenant Colonel Promotion Selection Boards’ results. The boards selected 451officers for promotion.

A selection board convened at the center in April, and board members reviewed the records of 573 Air National Guard line and nonline officers.

The results of the fiscal 2006 Air National Guard boards are:

Selection statistics in-the-promotion zone for major:

-- 91 line officers were selected from 100 considered for a 91-percent rate.

-- Two chaplain officers were selected from two considered for a 100-percent rate.

-- No dental corps officers were considered.

-- Three judge advocate general officers were selected from three considered for a 100-percent rate.

-- Three medical corps officers were selected from three considered for a 100-percent rate.

-- Two nurse corps officers were selected from two considered for a 100-percent rate.

-- One medical service corps officer was selected from two considered for a 50-percent rate.

-- Three biomedical sciences corps officers were selected from three considered for a 100-percent rate.

Selection statistics in-the-promotion zone for lieutenant colonel:

-- 273 line officers were selected from 344 considered for a 79-percent rate.

-- Three chaplain officers were selected from four considered for a 75-percent rate.

-- One dental corps officer was selected from one considered for a 100-percent rate.

-- One judge advocate general officer was selected from one considered for a 100-percent rate.

-- Four medical corps officers were selected from five considered for an 80-percent rate.

-- 21 nurse corps officers were selected from 28 considered for a 75-percent rate.

-- Five medical service corps officers were selected from six considered for an 83-percent rate.

-- Two biomedical sciences corps officers were selected from three considered for a 67-percent rate.

-- 11 line officers were selected from 13 considered for an 85-percent rate.

-- No chaplain officer was selected from one considered.

-- No dental corps officers were considered.

-- No judge advocate general officers were considered.

-- No medical corps officers were considered.

-- No medical service corps officers were considered.

-- One biomedical sciences corps officer was selected from one considered for a 100-percent rate.
