Officials release fire investigation results

PETERSON AIR FORCE BASE, Colo. (AFPN) --  Investigators determined a worker’s torch caused a Jan. 31 fire that destroyed the officers club at Patrick Air Force Base, Fla., Air Force Space Command officials announced May 11.

The torch ignited flammable material on the roof that smoldered unnoticed and caused the roof to ignite.
