Officials announce Reserve major promotions

Air Reserve Personnel Center officials here announced March 31 the results of the fiscal 2006 Air Force Reserve line and health professions major promotion selection boards. The Feb. 7 board selected 693 officers for promotion out of 1,861 records reviewed.

Selection statistics in-the-promotion zone:

-- 198 line officers were selected from 307 considered for a 65 percent selection rate.

-- One dental corps officer was selected from one considered.

-- 24 medical corps officers were selected from 28 considered for an 86 percent selection rate.

-- 68 nurse corps officers were selected from 90 considered for a 76 percent selection rate.

-- 22 medical service corps officers were selected from 29 considered for a 76 percent selection rate.

-- 16 biomedical sciences corps officers were selected from 19 considered for an 84 percent selection rate.

Selection statistics above-the-promotion zone:

-- 94 line officers were selected from 200 considered for a 47 percent selection rate.

-- No dental corps officers were selected from 2 considered.

-- Three medical corps officers were selected from eight considered for a 38 percent selection rate.

-- 18 nurse corps officers were selected from 38 considered for a 47 percent selection rate.

-- Six medical service corps officers were selected from six considered.

-- Three biomedical sciences corps officers were selected from 12 considered for a 25 percent selection rate.

Selective Reserve position vacancy selection statistics:

-- 107 line officers were selected from 178 considered for a 60 percent selection rate.

-- Two dental corps officers were selected from three considered for a 67 percent selection rate.

-- One medical corps officer was selected from one considered.

-- 26 nurse corps officers were selected from 43 considered for a 60 percent selection rate.

-- 17 medical service corps officers were selected from 28 considered for a 61 percent selection rate.

-- Three biomedical sciences corps officers were selected from four considered for a 75 percent selection rate.

Other than Selective Reserve selection statistics in-the-promotion zone:

-- 42 line officers were selected from 339 considered for a 12 percent selection rate.

-- Seven dental corps officers were selected from 46 considered for a 15 percent selection rate

-- Six medical corps officers were selected from 40 considered for a 15 percent selection rate.

-- 13 nurse corps officers were selected from 92 considered for a 14 percent selection rate.

-- One medical service corps officer was selected from six considered for a 17 percent selection rate.

-- Seven biomedical sciences corps officers were selected from 45 considered for a 16 percent selection rate.

Other than Selective Reserve selection statistics above-the-promotion zone:

-- Nine line officers were selected from 84 considered for an 11 percent selection rate.

-- No dental corps officers were selected from 64 considered.

-- No medical corps officers were selected from 38 considered.

-- One nurse corps officer was selected from 56 considered for a 2 percent selection rate.

-- No medical service corps officers were selected from one considered.

-- No biomedical sciences corps officers were selected from 53 considered.

Promotion effective dates are dependent on the individual’s date of rank and time in grade.
