(AFPN) -- Backed by seven individual wins, the Air Force Academy wrestling team picked up its fourth consecutive dual-meet victory, as it downed South Dakota State University, 37-12, here Jan. 29.Although the Falcons opened the match with a loss at 149-pounds, when South Dakota State’s Chad Herrbolt won by a fall over the academy’s Josh Peterson, that was the only lead of the night for the Jackrabbits.Air Force took three of the next four matches -- all by falls. Anthony Dorward earned the Falcons’ first victory at 157-pounds, as he notched a fall in 1:56 against Brad Gregory.Beau Tresemer collected a fall in 3:11 at 165-pounds, while Luke Lafever earned his fall in 1:26 during a 184-pound contest. Tresemer and Lafever’s wins book-ended a loss when Travis Gottschalk of SDSU earned a 9-6 decision over Jakob Lynes at 174-pounds.Following a 3-2 lost decision by Brenden McLean at 197-pounds, Air Force rolled off four straight victories to secure the match. Brenden’s younger brother, Trey, picked up his third dual meet win of the season, earning a fall (1:32) over Scott Reiver.Taking his first collegiate dual-meet victory, Zach Valdez earned the only major decision of the night, taking the 125-pound contest by a 13-3 margin.Brandon Strong collected a 1:00 fall over Chris Werth at 133-pounds, while Jacob Kriegbaum closed out the night with a win (6-4) over Dusty Kavitz at 141-pounds.Up next for the Falcons is the All-Academy Championships, which will take place Feb. 5 at The Citadel, in Charleston, S.C.
