Officials announce selections to captain

RANDOLPH AIR FORCE BASE, Texas (AFPN) --  Air Force officials announced Jan. 14 the results of a 2004 captain promotion process that selected 931 lieutenants for promotion to captain.

The entire list is posted online at www.afpc.randolph.af.mil/offprom/.

A total of 949 lieutenants were considered. The results are:

Selection statistics in-the-promotion zone:

-- 812 line officers were selected from 823 considered for a 98.7 percent selection rate.

-- 5 chaplains were selected from 5 considered.

-- 12 judge advocate officers were selected from 12 considered.

-- 68 nurse corps officers were selected from 68 considered.

-- 10 medical science corps officers were selected from 10 considered.

-- 24 biomedical science corps officers were selected from 25 considered for a 96 percent selection rate.

Selection statistics above-the-promotion zone:

-- No line officers were selected from 5 considered.
