Falcons tied for 12th at Wolf Pack Golf Classic

Paced by Tyler Goulding, the Air Force Academy’s golf team completed the first day of competition at the Wolf Pack Classic at the par-72, 7,100-yard Wolf Run Golf Club here. With a two-round total of 590 on Oct. 18, the Falcons are tied with fellow Mountain West Conference competitor University of Utah for 12th place.

Lamar University led in the team standings at the end of the first two rounds with a 12-under-par 564.

After shooting a low score of 71 in the second round, Goulding finished the day at an even 144, tying for 18th overall. Scott Redmond was next in the standings for Air Force, tying for 25th place after two rounds with a score of 146. Meanwhile, Daryl McCoy tied for 43rd with a 5-over-par 149.

Other Air Force golfers include Ben Jackman, who faltered in the second round to fire a 155 for the day, tying for 73rd overall, and Bob Whitney, who tied for 83rd with a two-round total of 158.
