‘Stop-movement’ order rescinded for bases

Base officials at Tyndall Air Force Base, Fla., and Keesler AFB, Miss., have reinstated all permanent and temporary travel to their respective bases. Certain people from Eglin AFB, Fla., can begin returning Sept. 18.

Airmen should pay close attention to travel warnings associated with Tropical Storm Ivan, officials said. In the event a travel route has been deemed dangerous, officials urge Airmen to use common sense to avoid placing themselves in danger.

People from Eglin AFB can contact the Personnel Readiness Center at (800) 435-9941 to find out specific instructions for mission-essential and nonmission-essential workers.
