Air Force women’s soccer stormed 3-0 by Central Florida Published Sept. 13, 2004 ORLANDO, Fla. (AFPN) -- The Air Force Academy women’s soccer team ran into a furious tropical storm that was the University of Central Florida. Falling to the Golden Knights, 3-0, the game featured heavy rainfall. The Falcons fall to 3-3-0 on the season.Central Florida improves to 5-1-1 on the season and came into the game having scored 10 goals in its previous two matches. The Golden Knights outscored the Falcons 21-9 overall and 13-5 on goal.Senior Elaine Tatarek led Air Force with two shots taken. Five Falcons attempted a shot on goal. Freshman Jennifer Drew had a career-best 10 saves in front of the net for the academy. Most of the second half was played in a torrential downpour.Three members of the Air Force women’s soccer team were selected to the all-tournament team for their outstanding play. They are: Senior defender Jennifer Ford, junior forward Raegan McDowell and Drew.The Falcons play again Sept. 17 to 19 at the Toys for Tots Tournament in St. Louis.
