Airman arraigned in Kirtland murder

An 898th Munitions Squadron Airman here was arraigned in the 2nd Judicial District Court for the state of New Mexico on Aug. 10 for allegedly murdering another Airman also assigned to the squadron.

Senior Airman Nathan Roberts is being held at a local detention center on $300,000 bond and faces an open count of murder.

The incident occurred early Aug. 7 at a private residence off base, local police authorities said. Airman 1st Class William B. Wilson IV died at a local hospital from a gunshot wound to the face.
