Airman charged with murder Published June 17, 2004 SAN ANTONIO (AFPN) -- A staff sergeant at Maxwell Air Force Base, Ala., is being held in the nearby Montgomery County Jail after being charged with murder. Staff Sgt. Russell Booth, of the 42nd Security Forces Squadron, allegedly shot and killed his wife, Wyndelyn Scogin Booth, during a domestic dispute in their home June 12, said Lt. Huey Thornton, a Montgomery police spokesman. Sergeant Booth is being held on a $50,000 bond while awaiting trial. If he is found guilty, he faces up to life in prison.
