Officials announce Air Guard major, LTC promotions

DENVER (AFPN) --  Air Reserve Personnel Center officials announced June 10 the 2005 Air National Guard Line and Nonline Major and Lieutenant Colonel Promotion Selection Boards’ results that selected 469 officers for promotion.

A selection board convened at the center in April, and board members reviewed the records of more than 570 Air National Guard line and nonline officers.

The results of the fiscal 2005 Air National Guard board are:

Selection statistics in-the-promotion zone for major:

-- 91 line officers were selected from 99 considered for a 92-percent rate.

-- No chaplain officers were selected from one considered.

-- Two dental corps officers were selected from two considered for a 100-percent rate.

-- Two judge advocate general officers were selected from two considered for a 100-percent rate.

-- Two medical corps officers were selected from two considered for a 100-percent rate.

-- Six nurse corps officers were selected from seven considered for an 86-percent rate.

-- One medical service corps officers was selected from one considered for a 100-percent rate.

-- One biomedical science corps officer was selected from two considered for a 50-percent rate.

Selection statistics in-the-promotion zone for lieutenant colonel:

-- 279 line officers were selected from 339 considered for an 82-percent rate.

-- Nine chaplain officers were selected from 10 considered for a 90-percent rate.

-- Two dental corps officers were selected from three considered for a 67-percent rate.

-- Three judge advocate general officers were selected from four considered for a 75-percent rate.

-- Three medical corps officers were selected from three considered for a 100-percent rate.

-- 18 nurse corps officers were selected from 22 considered for an 82-percent rate.

-- Two medical service corps officers were selected from four considered for a 50-percent rate.

-- Five biomedical science corps officers were selected from six considered for an 83-percent rate.

-- 10 line officers were selected from 13 considered for a 77-percent rate.

-- One judge advocate general officer was selected from one considered for a 100-percent rate.

-- One nurse corps officer was selected from two considered for a 50-percent rate.
