Air Force Academy officials released the final updated information June 7 involving the investigation into cadet cheating by some members of the Class of 2007.

Since April 22, when preliminary interviews began, 265 cadets were interviewed.

Of that number, seven cadets voluntarily resigned, 12 cadets admitted cheating, and 50 denied cheating and were forwarded for further investigation. Of the 50 who denied cheating, 33 cases were dropped and 17 were forwarded to Wing Honor Boards. Those honor boards found seven violations and 10 with no violations.

At this time, no other cases are under review or scheduled for review by the honor boards.

Disciplinary actions of either honor probation or dismissal will be recommended to the commandant of cadets and superintendent for a final decision on the 19 cadets found to have violated the honor code.
