Recovered household goods want to come home

The security forces investigation office here and local German police have been conducting a joint investigation of a moving company in the Kaiserslautern, Germany, area.

A substantial amount of suspected stolen household goods has been recovered in this operation. Air Force and local officials are trying to contact people who may have lost items during a move into or out of the Kaiserslautern area to assist them in possibly recovering their property.

It is not important to this investigation whether or not a claim was filed through the government, only that the individual can provide identification of the property. The items that were recovered range from high-value jewelry to lower-valued sporting equipment.

People having missing items should e-mail uwe.borst@ramstein.af.mil with a description of the item(s), the approximate date when the items where shipped, and the company’s name, if known, who handled the move.
