Medical, dental officer promotions announced Published Jan. 29, 2004 RANDOLPH AIR FORCE BASE, Texas (AFPN) -- The Air Force has selected 619 medical and dental corps officers for promotion. The officers were chosen by the colonel, lieutenant colonel and major medical and dental corps selection boards that convened at the Air Force Personnel Center here Nov. 17.The entire list will be posted on the Air Force Personnel Center Web site, www.afpc.randolph.af.mil, by Jan. 31.Overall, 70 officers were selected for promotion to colonel, 136 to lieutenant colonel and 413 to major.Selection statistics for those in-the-promotion zone for colonel:-- 34 MC lieutenant colonels selected from 52 considered for a 65.4-percent select rate.-- 23 DC lieutenant colonels selected from 29 considered for a 79.3-percent select rate.Selection statistics for those above-the-promotion zone for colonel:-- Two MC lieutenant colonels selected from 80 considered for a 2.5-percent select rate.-- Nine DC lieutenant colonels selected from 59 considered for a 15.3-percent select rate.Selection statistics for those below-the-promotion zone for colonel:-- One MC lieutenant colonel selected from 140 considered for a 0.7-percent select rate.-- One DC lieutenant colonel selected from 43 considered for a 2.3-percent select rate.Selection statistics for those in-the-promotion zone for lieutenant colonel:-- 114 MC majors selected from 115 considered for a 99.1-percent select rate.-- 16 DC s majors elected from 16 considered for a 100-percent select rate.Selection statistics for those above-the-promotion zone for lieutenant colonel:-- No MC majors were selected from four considered.-- No DC major was selected from one considered.Selection statistics for those below-the-promotion zone for lieutenant colonel:-- Five MC majors selected from 316 considered for a 1.6-percent select rate.-- One DC major selected from 54 considered for a 1.9-percent select rate.Selection statistics for those in-the-promotion zone for major:-- 367 MC captains selected from 369 considered for a 99.5-percent select rate.-- 42 DC captains selected from 44 considered for a 95.5-percent select rate.Selection statistics for those above-the-promotion zone for major:-- Three MC captains selected from six considered for a 50-percent select rate.-- One DC captain selected from one considered for a 100-percent select rate.
