ARPC announces colonel promotions

The Air Reserve Personnel Center here announced Jan. 16 the 2004 Air Force Reserve colonel promotion selection boards results that selected 315 officers for promotion.

A selection board convened at the center in October and board members reviewed the records of more than 1,682 lieutenant colonels.

The results of the fiscal 2004 board are:

Selective Reserve selection statistics in the promotion zone:

-- 105 line officers selected from 405 considered for a 26 percent rate.

-- Four chaplain officers selected from 18 considered for a 22 percent rate.

-- One dental corps officer selected from 14 considered for a 7 percent rate.

-- 17 judge advocate general officers selected from 43 considered for a 40 percent rate.

-- Seven medical corps officers selected from 38 considered for an 18 percent rate.

-- 17 nurse corps officers selected from 50 considered for a 34 percent rate.

-- Six medical service corps officers selected from 14 considered for a 43 percent rate.

-- Six biomedical science corps officers selected from 24 considered for a 25 percent rate.

Selective Reserve selection statistics for the above the promotion zone:

-- 98 line officers selected from 603 considered for a 16 percent rate.

-- Three chaplain officers selected from 12 considered for a 25 percent rate.

-- Six dental corps officers selected from 26 considered for a 23 percent rate.

-- Five judge advocate general officers selected from 52 considered for a 10 percent rate.

-- 14 medical corps officers selected from 98 considered for a 14 percent rate.

-- Eight nurse corps officers selected from 83 considered for a 10 percent rate.

-- One medical service corps officer selected from 14 considered for a 7 percent rate.

-- Six biomedical science corps officers selected from 31 considered for a 19 percent rate.

Other than Selective Reserve selection statistics in the promotion zone:

-- One line officer selected from 45 considered for a 2 percent rate.

-- No chaplain officers considered.

-- No dental corps officer selected from one considered.

-- No judge advocate general officers considered.

-- No medical corps officers selected from six considered.

-- No nurse corps officer selected from one considered.

-- No medical or biomedical science corps officers considered.

Other than Selective Reserve selection statistics for the above the promotion zone:

-- Six line officers selected from 75 considered for an 8 percent rate.

-- No chaplain officers considered.

-- One dental corps officer selected from two considered for a 50 percent rate.

-- One judge advocate general officer selected from four considered for a 25 percent rate.

-- One medical corps officer selected from 14 considered for a 7 percent rate.

-- One nurse corps officer selected from four considered for a 25 percent rate.

-- No medical service corps considered.

-- No biomedical science corps officer selected from one considered.

"Other than Selective Reserve" officers are those assigned in the Standby Reserve or Individual Ready Reserve.
