Airman sentenced in bank-theft scheme Published Nov. 7, 2003 ROYAL AIR FORCE LAKENHEATH, England (AFPN) -- An airman here was sentenced by a military judge during a special court-martial Nov. 5 for his involvement in a bank-theft scheme. He was sentenced to a bad conduct discharge, confinement for eight months and a demotion to airman basic.Senior Airman David Leaven, of the 48th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron, was found guilty of conspiracy to commit larceny, soliciting a fellow airman to commit larceny and using a false passport to the discredit of the armed forces. He also lied to a British police officer and persuaded a fellow airman to place a false name on his gas bill.
