Moody NCO earns first sergeant award Published July 8, 2003 RANDOLPH AIR FORCE BASE, Texas (AFPN) -- A senior noncommissioned officer assigned to the 347th Maintenance Squadron at Moody Air Force Base, Ga., is the recipient of the 2003 Air Force First Sergeant of the Year award.Master Sgt. Jeffery Hollinshead is being recognized for transforming a marginal unit into a first-rate one, while significantly improving standards, teamwork and morale."I feel extremely blessed to receive this unbelievable award," he said. "Although I am being recognized, everyone at Moody AFB owns a portion of this award. I am extremely fortunate to have been given so many opportunities to serve some of the greatest airmen in today's Air Force.”He will receive the award in August during the Air Force Sergeants Association National Convention in Las Vegas.
