(AFPN) -- The Air Force soccer team won close games over the Army team and the Marines to secure first place in the recent Armed Forces Services Soccer Championship."It (was) a long tournament," said Air Force head coach Orville Reid. "We had to play tough all six games to win."The Nov. 8 match-up against Army proved pivotal to the outcome of the tournament. Prior to the game, Army was leading the tournament with three wins. At the end, the Air Force team left the field with a hard-earned 1-0 win.The Army team took the silver medal, followed by the Navy and Marine teams, respectively.
