Sponsoring a guest onto Hill Air Force Base is about to become easier for the vast majority of people who are authorized this privilege.

In order to comply with Air Force and Air Force Materiel Command directives to eliminate telephone sponsorship, the 75th Security Forces Squadron, working with the 75th Air Base Wing Communications and Information Directorate, have developed an intranet site for sponsoring visitors.

This site can be accessed by anyone with access to the Hill AFB intranet. In other words, anyone who uses a CAC card to log on to the base system can reach the Visitor Control Center site HERE

The site is user-friendly with clearly identified tabs to lead sponsors through the process of clearing guests onto the base. For people who require assistance using the site, contact numbers are provided and 75th SFS clerks will be more than happy to provide assistance.

With the new system, required background checks will be completed in advance and a pass produced. When guests arrive, they will only need to check in to the VCC, produce a government-issued photo ID, and pick up their pass.

Effective Feb. 6, the 75th SFS will no longer accept call-in requests for sponsorship.

Call-in sponsorship does not facilitate verification of the caller's authority to sponsor and is prohibited by AFI 31-113, Installation Perimeter Access Control, as supplemented by AFMC.

The new site will replace the call-in process for the vast majority of visitor requests.

Unfortunately, there is one limitation to the new process - personnel without access to the base intranet will not be able to access the site.

Those personnel will have to be physically present at one of the base VCCs to sponsor guests. The clerks at the VCC will be able to properly identify both the sponsor and guest in this manner to satisfy installation access requirements.

The 75th SFS asks for everyone's patience as they transistion to the new process and insist every effort will be made to keep the base secure and delays to a minimum.
