Have you ever wondered how the US Army's Air Defense Battle Management System Operator (14G) and Air and Missile Defense Crew Member (14S) work together to keep us safe? As a 14G, Soldiers are responsible for operating and maintaining the Army's tactical command and control systems, such as the Sentinel Aerial Surveillance Radar, which provides real-time situational awareness and situational understanding of the battlefield. Meanwhile, the 14S is responsible for engaging hostile targets using air and missile defense systems, including the short-range Avenger air defense system. These two occupations work together to identify potential threats and neutralize hostile aerial targets. Sgt. Jesse M. Temperilli, a Soldier with the 3-265th Air Defense Artillery Battalion explains his duties and responsibilities while serving as a 14G with the Florida Army National Guard. (Video by Sgt.
