Scarlet Dragon Integrates Joint Air Defense Data
XVIII Airborne Corps Public Affairs
Dec. 16, 2025 | 36:53
Interviews feature U.S. Army leaders, Soldiers, and subject matter experts discussing their roles and experiences during Scarlet Dragon 26-1 at Fort Bragg, North Carolina, Dec. 9, 2025. Scarlet Dragon is an XVIII Airborne Corps experimentation initiative that brings together operational units, emerging technologies, and industry partners to rapidly evaluate and refine capabilities for the future fight.
Interview participants reflect on how Scarlet Dragon has evolved over time from small-scale experimentation into a persistent forum for innovation, enabling the Army to learn faster and adapt more effectively. By integrating feedback directly from the Warfighter, the exercise ensures new technologies and concepts are shaped by operational needs rather than theoretical assumptions.
During Scarlet Dragon 26-1, Soldiers discuss how modern sensors, unmanned systems, aviation platforms, and air defense capabilities are being connected through shared networks to improve situational awareness and compress decision cycles. These discussions highlight the practical impact Scarlet Dragon has on training, readiness, and lethality at the tactical and operational levels.
The interviews underscore how Scarlet Dragon continues to influence the way the Army prepares for future conflicts by empowering Soldiers, accelerating innovation, and ensuring emerging capabilities deliver meaningful effects for the Warfighter on today’s and tomorrow’s battlefield.
