Combined Joint Task Force - Operation Inherent Resolve's mission is to work by, with and through regional partners to defeat ISIS. Throughout 2018, Coalition forces have continued the fight against of ISIS in designated areas of Iraq and Syria. The 74 nations and five international organizations that make up the Global Coalition remain resolved to ensure the enduring defeat of ISIS and enduring stabilization in the region. The Coalition ensures our regional partners are resilient and self-sustaining in recruiting, training, equipping and managing their developing force, in order to counter future external and internal threats independently and establish local and permanent security.
