Col. Douglas R. Kansier, incoming commanding officer, VMFA-533, during a change of command ceremony at Marine Corps Air Station Beaufort, South Carolina, Nov. 21, 2025. The ceremony represented a transfer of accountability, responsibility and authority from Hartnett, outgoing commanding officer, VMFA-533 to Kansier, the incoming commanding officer.
