“The Watch,” a poem typically recited at U.S. Navy retirement ceremonies, adapted by the Chief’s Mess on Camp Lemonnier, Djibouti (CLDJ) to commemorate the Navy’s 247th Birthday to emphasize the year’s theme, “On Watch - 24/7 for 247 Years.” Poem read by Senior Chief Personnel Specialist William Hammer in CLDJ’s 11 Degrees North venue.
