The Lacerda Cup at Fort Benning is the Army’s premier all-army combatives championship, where Soldiers face off in a high-intensity display of hand-to-hand combat and resilience. This multi-day tournament tests competitors in various weight classes through a series of full-contact matches that blend wrestling, striking, and grappling techniques. Named in honor of Staff Sgt. Pedro Lacerda, the competition reinforces the "warrior ethos" by challenging Soldiers to maintain tactical composure and physical dominance in the most intimate and stressful forms of engagement.
