Please join members of the U.S. Navy Band Commodores jazz ensemble as they present "Jazz Origins." They will explore Ragtime, Harlem Stride, Blues, Second Line, Dixieland and other musical styles that led to the formation of jazz, the great American art form. Episode Two of the U.S. Navy Band’s “Origins” series. This episode is designed for high school and middle school students.

For the 2018-2019 school year, the United States Navy Band presents “Origins.” In this series of educational webcast presentations, we will examine the origins of musical styles, musical instruments, and other questions dealing with how musical elements came into existence.
