The 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit is a combat-credible force in readiness, prepared to deploy across the globe to deliver critical, lifesaving aid or overwhelming force to the nation’s adversaries. We are a Marine Air-Ground Task Force comprised of a command element; a ground combat element, Battalion Landing Team 3/5; an aviation combat element with two squadrons, Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadron (VMM) 163 (Reinforced) and Marine Fighter Attack Squadron (VMFA) 122; and a logistics combat element, Combat Logistics Battalion 11. The 11th MEU is embarked on the Boxer Amphibious Ready Group, comprised of Wasp-class amphibious assault ship USS Boxer (LHD 4), San Antonio-class amphibious transport dock ship USS Portland (LPD 27), and Whidbey Island-class dock landing ship USS Comstock (LSD 45).
