CMAX/Collaborative Multi-Agency Exercise
Airman 1st Class Justin Vargas, a "burn victim," has his blood pressure checked by a medical technician while being airlifted during the Collaborative Multi-Agency Medical Exercise, known as CMAX, that took place in the Washington D.C. area on Dec. 7. The annual exercise was designed to test the capabilities of the local authorities to handle a major catastrophe. This was the first year that patient transport was included in the exercise. Airman Vargas is with the 79th Medical Support Squadron, Bolling Air Force Base, D.C. (U.S. Air Force photo/Tech. Sgt. Cohen Young)
