F-15E pilot strikes 4,000 hours

Lt. Col. David Iverson and Capt. Tim Tendall, with the 492nd Fighter Squadron, apply the brakes to slow their F-15E Strike Eagle at Lackland Air Force Base, Texas, Jan. 11, 2010. Colonel Iverson passed 4,000 flight hours in the F-15E during the flight from Royal Air Force Lakenheath, England. The transatlantic flight was supported by seven in-flight refuelings. The exact moment he passed the milestone was while connected to a KC-135 Stratotanker. (Courtesy Boeing photo/Lance Cheung)
