OPERATION IRAQI FREEDOM -- Members of the 823rd Airborne RED HORSE move huge pieces of concrete from the military runway at Baghdad International Airport on April 18, 2003. REDHORSE members are currently repairing damage to the civilian and military runways at Baghdad International Airport that occurred during Operation Iraqi Freedom. Baghdad International Airport is a primary base of operations for U.S. troops, cargo and humanitarian airlift for Operation Iraqi Freedom. Operation Iraqi Freedom is the multinational coalition effort to liberate the Iraqi people, eliminate Iraq's weapons of mass destruction and end the regime of Sadaam Hussein.
