Friendly flight

Capt. Jonathan Ferricher prepares a C-130J for flight June 4, 2013, at Dyess Air Force Base, Texas. The Denton Amendment allows U.S. military aircraft to transport, on a space-available basis, humanitarian supplies from nongovernment organizations to people around the world who are in need of assistance. The 317th Airlift Group transported the supplies to Pope Army Airfield, N.C., where it will be taken to Joint Base Charleston, S.C., and then to Afghanistan. Ferricher is assigned to the 39th Airlift Squadron. (U.S. Air Force photo/Senior Airman Jonathan Stefanko)
