Al Mundy (right) and Dr. Tobi Moser open up a solar- and wind-powered charging station May 24, 2013, at the Air Force Academy. The charging station, built by cadets majoring in electrical engineering as part of their capstone course, provides portable power at both 110 and 220 volts. The battery pack is rated for approximately 2,000 charges. Mundy and Moser are instructors in the Academy's Electrical and Computer Engineering Department, and Moser is part of a German exchange program. (U.S. Air Force photo/Don Branum)
