Planes over water

AIR FORCE PHOTOS

A patient is offloaded from a C-130J Hercules assigned to the 772nd Expeditionary Airlift Squadron April 7, 2013, at Bagram Airfield, Afghanistan. The aircraft is met by an ambulance that will take the patient to Craig Joint Theater Hospital. This is the same procedure that was used during an aeromedical evacuation mission to move a critically wounded combat controller from Mazar-e Sharif, in northern Afghanistan, to more advanced medical care at the hospital at Bagram in late March.
