Toy Cars for Chechon Children's Home
A member of the Air Force Technical Applications Center's Detachment 452 presents a hand-carved wooden car to a little girl at the Chechon Children's Home, an orphanage near Wonju, S. Korea. The cars were a gift from Ed Wares, father of Sabrina Miller, AFTAC's Scientific & Technical Information Program Manager. Members of the detachment visited the facility Dec. 22. 2012 to distribute gifts to the children. “When we get to do outreach like this, especially for children, it really brings things into a greater perspective for me personally,” said Senior Master Sgt. Wesley Schuler, Det. 452 chief. “It also makes me realize how incredibly generous Airmen and my fellow American citizens are to take the time and effort to donate to this great cause. It’s very moving to see the faces of these children just light up when they’re each given a personal gift.” (Courtesy photo)
