Contingency Aeromedical Staging Facility staff members transport an injured patient onto a C-130 Hercules during an aeromedical evacuation mission at Camp Bastion, Afghanistan, Oct. 21, 2012. The aeromedical flights are used to transport injured or recovered patients with the NATO Role 3 hospital and the CASF based at Kandahar Airfield. The CASF staff at Kandahar is 28 members strong and performs tasks ranging from helping medevac patients off of the helicopters they come in on to providing warm beds for their outgoing temporary residents.
