Capt. Jason Powell holds a first-edition copy of "Into the Mouth of the Cat," he received when he was 13 years old. The book, which tells the story of Capt. Lance P. Sijan, inspired him to become an officer in the Air Force. Powell is the 435th Contingency Response Group operations officer and met the man who helped tell this story, retired Capt. Guy Gruters, during a prisoner of war/missing in action event held at Ramstein Air Base, Germany, Sept. 21, 2012. (U.S. Air Force photo/Tech. Sgt. Tyrona Lawson)
